A Message from the Superintendent

Dear Students, Families, Staff and Community:

Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year! I look forward to our coming together refreshed and ready for a strong year of teaching and learning. The District Newsletter will serve as a communication source which will be helpful to everyone.  Please take time to read the updates. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your school principal or appropriate school staff member.

Franklin County School System is a robust school system because of our students, staff, families, and extended community. The challenges sometimes get in our way of highlighting all of the "good stuff" that is happening in our school everyday. The "good stuff" includes, but is not limited to, our backpack programs, individuals who donate school supplies, shoes, and clothing, those who give so our students can attend local, state, and national conferences and competitions, and our wonderful school volunteers. I appreciate the "good stuff" and our staff who give of themselves every day so our students can come to a safe place to learn and grow.  Despite our staffing challenges, I believe our collective efforts will help us persevere through these trying times so our students will prevail in the end.

We will continue to promote a collaborative atmosphere dedicated to working for the best interest of our students.  I will continue to be committed to doing my personal best for the betterment of our students, staff, families, and extended community.

Sincerely,

Dr. Bernice Cobbs

Division Superintendent
