The main objective of the Franklin County Public Schools Transportation Department is to safely and orderly transport all students to and from school on a daily basis. The department understands that this is an awesome responsibility and works very hard to ensure that we perform our duties in a responsible and professional manner. Hours of Operation:
The transportation department is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Employment Opportunities:
The transportation department employs approximately 160 individuals consisting of bus drivers, mechanics and office staff. We consistently are looking for individuals who want to become a school bus driver. This position is one of the most important in the school system in that you are required to transport children to and from school safely. That is an enormous responsibility, but driving a bus can be an extremely rewarding experience. If you are interested in becoming a school bus driver please contact Janet Robertson at 540.483.5541.
