Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)

Working Together for Every Learner

Welcome to the Franklin County Public Schools Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)!

SEAC brings families, educators, school leaders, individuals with disabilities, and community members together to strengthen special education across our school division. We believe students thrive when families and schools work together through collaboration, communication, and mutual respect.

Every school division in Virginia has a Special Education Advisory Committee. In Franklin County, SEAC serves as an advisory voice to the School Board and Superintendent, helping ensure that the perspectives and experiences of students with disabilities and their families are part of division-level conversations about special education.

For concerns involving an individual student or IEP, please contact your child's case manager, Special Education coordinator, or school principal for assistance.
